Writing Competition
Seagull Media House is holding a writing competition for writers based in London, with the winner having their piece produced as a fully staged play!

Competition Details
Seagull Media House CIC is looking for writers with an original story, idea or concept that could be developed into a live theatrical production.
Your concept will be developed with a creative team, with opportunities to explore staging, lighting, sound, performance and production along the way.
HOW IT WORKS
PHASE 1 — APPLICATION
Send an email to Contact@SeagullMediaHouse.com containing:
• Your name
• Concept title
• Themes & tones
• Estimated runtime
• Short synopsis
• Writer bio
You can also attach anything that helps us understand your idea... scripts, artwork, moodboards, inspiration, character ideas or other supporting material.
PHASE 2 — PITCH
If your concept progresses through Phase 1, we’ll invite you to a virtual pitch meeting where you’ll have the opportunity to present your idea directly to our team of board members and producers.
Tell us about your concept, what inspired it and how you see it working on stage.
THEN… LET’S MAKE IT REAL.
If your concept is selected following both phases, we’ll begin working towards bringing it into production.

• Unpaid / voluntary opportunity
• Runtime: 50–90 minutes
• Maximum cast size: 5
• Family-friendly or maximum 13+ rating
YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE AN ESTABLISHED WRITER.
We’re interested in ideas and stories. Whether you’ve written several plays or have a concept you’ve been wanting to bring to the stage, we want to hear from you.
